Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:

He who observed the fasts of Ramadan with faith and seeking reward (from Allah), all his previous sins would be forgiven, and he who observed prayer on Lailat-ul- Qadr with faith and seeking reward (from Allah), all his previous sins would be forgiven.

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, would encourage standing for night prayer in the month of Ramadan without making it an obligation, and he would say, “Whoever stands in the night prayer during Ramadan out of faith and seeking his reward, then all of his previous sins will be forgiven.” When the Messenger of Allah died, peace be upon him, this became a regular practice and continued throughout the Caliphate of Abu Baker and Umar.

When Abu Bakr (my Allah be pleased with him) asked the Prophet ﷺ for dhikr to recite in the morning and evening, he ﷺ told him to say this (learn this supplication, and say it often):

Allahumma `ālim al-ghaybi wa’l-shahādati fātir al-samāwāti wa’l-ardi rabba kulli shay’in wa malīkah; ash-hadu an lā ilāha illa ant, a`ūdhu bika min sharri nafsī, wa min sharri’l-shaytāni wa shirkih (sharakih), wa ‘an aqtarifa `ala nafsī sū’an aw ajurrahu ilā Muslim.

“O Allah, Knower of the unseen and the evident, Maker of the heavens and the earth, Lord of everything and its Possessor, I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of my soul and from the evil of Satan and his helpers (or traps); and from bringing evil upon my soul and from harming any Muslim.”

Abu Huraira (Radiallahu ahnu) reported Allah’s Messenger (Sallahu alayhi wa sallam) as saying:

“A strong believer is better and is more lovable to Allah than a weak believer, and there is good in everyone, (but) cherish that which gives you benefit (in the Hereafter) and seek help from Allah and do not lose heart, and if anything (in the form of trouble) comes to you, don’t say: ‘If’ I had not done that, it would not have happened so and so, but say: “Allah did that what He had ordained to do.” Your ‘if’ opens the (gate) for the Satan.

Your Eyes and Ears....

shaykhness:

سُئِل أبو حازم:ـ
Abu Haazim (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked:

…ما شكر العينين
How does one thank for the blessings of eyes?

قال: إذا رأيت بهما خيرا أذعته
He said: ” When you see good you should spread it”.

وإذا رأيت بهما شرا سترته
and when you see something which does not please…

Muslim reports from ‘Iyaadh ibn Himaar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, during a lengthy sermon:

Muslim reports from ‘Iyaadh ibn Himaar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, during a lengthy sermon:

“…The people of Hell are five: the weak who lack the power to (avoid evil); the (carefree) who pursue (everything irrespective of whether it is good or evil) and who have no concern for their families or their wealth; the dishonest people whose greed cannot be concealed even in the case of minor things; and those who betray you, morning and evening, with regard to your family and property. He also mentioned misers, liars, and those who are in the habit of abusing people and using obscene, foul language.”
